March in P1M

6th Apr 2017

We have been very busy in school this month. We continued with our night topic learning about all the different animals that come out at night, we had a stuffed badger and a visit from Debbie with all her animals. We had a night pond were we investigated floating and sinking and we made clay hedgehogs. In numeracy we were super busy we have been adding on 1 and 2, using scales to compare the weight of different objects and comparing different lengths of items. In literacy we celebrated world book day by coming to school as our favourite character, even the teachers dressed up! This month we were focusing on story writing so we went on an Owl Hunt around school before writing our own stories. Miss Morrison was very proud! We also had a show and tell on our favourite night teddy and we continued with our reading and phonics work. We managed to get outside to the adventure playground and outdoor toys as well with the good weather. The boys and girls really enjoy the new mud kitchen Noel built for us!
