P1 Morrison in November

P1 Morrison in November

It's hard to believe that another month has past and once again we have been so busy in P1. We have started learning all about our sounds and so far we have done s,a,t,p,i and n, we have continued our work on our tricky words.  Some of us are able to spot our tricky words in the environment. For our writing we have been  learning about recount, we know it's things that have already happened. We can recount what we did during play based learning, outdoor play and at the week, we use talking hoops to help us include all the information. In numeracy we have learnt all about number 4 and started learning about number 5. We are able to make 4 and build walls of four, we really are very clever in p1. We also started using a Carroll diagram for our sorting, it's easy peasy for us.  Our topic at the moment is celebrations, during November we have been looking at birthdays, we act out a party in our party house, make cakes in the sand, water and dough, write cards, lists and invitations at the writing table, make hats and lots of other things at the creative table. We have been very busy. In Holland your 5th birthday is known as Adrian birthday so you get to wear a special crown. As part of our topic we got to read Kippers Birthday, we made a cherry cake just like Kippers, it was yummy. In P.E we have started learning about balance, we have lots of fun.
