On Friday 23rd January our P7 football team, led by our captain Ben Smyth, went to Jordanstown university to play a four team round robin tournament against Carnmoney PS, Whiteabbey PS and Kingspark PS.
After a brilliant goal from Ryan Lowry to draw against a very good Whiteabbey side, he came up with another great goal to seal the win against another very good team in Kingspark.
The last game saw Ashgrove drawn against their local rivals Carnmoney PS in the Carnmoney derby. With 2 goals from Zak Wilson, another 3 from Ryan Lowry and a fine strike from Cameron Enthwhistle, Ashgrove ran out convincing 5-2 winners to win the tournament.
A great day was had by all and our thanks to Monkstown Community School for arranging such a great event.
