We had a very successful week of reading and enjoying books in Ashgrove last week.
Every day the classes stopped to silent read when the bell rang, teachers swapped classes to read to different year groups and each class collected a paper chain of all the books they had read over the week. Each class in school wrote a story for a school book which teachers will be able to read to their classes over the next few weeks. P5 even had a visit from storyteller Pat Ryan, who captured everyone's imaginations.
We hope that everyone really enjoyed getting into reading .. and that they still continue to, now that reading week is over!
