"We've been to the zoo, zoo, zoo!"

13th May 2016

It was a glorious day for Primary 2 to visit the zoo. What a wonderful opportunity to see up close all the animals we have been learning about in our topic. First we were introduced to several animals by John the zoo keeper. We got to touch a hedgehog, snake and tarantula (well, we only LOOKED at him because some people are allergic to tarantula's hairs). Then, after a snack and a play in the park, we saw many wild animals. We spotted Ashgrove's very own giraffe, Geoffrey. We saw the elephant throwing dirt, the tiger pacing, lions resting, monkeys climbing, meerkats playing, sea lions and penguins swimming, and so much more. We ate lunch in the company of sea lions. We were tired after our day out, but we had a fantastic time.
